Isola

"Queen Winter...what are you doing here?" I question her as she looks at the walls of ice and walks through the gap. Four men stay close to her side, all of them no doubt her mates from the scent of them. I see a woman stood in the front of the army, dressed in all leather with a giant sword on her back and a brown haired man stood close to her side. Though Winter is dressed similarly in a black leather outfit and her long brown hair is up in a bun, she doesn't seem as intimidating as the other girl is. I pull my eyes from her to the four men that walk over with Winter. One is an angel with big white wings that match his hair. I nod my head at Atticus, but I do not know the other two. One smells like a dog though, so I'm thinking he is the wolf that stayed close to Winter's side but wouldn't shift back.

Very slowly, my ice melts as I lift a hand, revealing a big army that stands behind them just in the tree line. All their scents mix together, so I can’t really get a read on what they are. Just that they look like an army. I search for my sister, but I don't get to see her before Winter steps in front of me and starts speaking as she crosses her arms. I feel Kor step to my side, his arm brushing mine as Dagan gets to my other side. I sense Thorne close, but he isn't here yet. I'm sure Eli is on his way as well. My heart feels complete, even for a moment as I watch the Earth queen for answers. I have my men at my side, all of them, and that means I can handle anything.

“Did you really think I wasn’t going to come to the world of dragons when you needed my help?” Winter asks, a small smile on her lips. I feel that instant connection with her again, and I don’t know what it is, but it makes me want to trust her. I do trust her, even if I don’t know much of Winter at all. I move my eyes to her four mates, who are all staring in awe at the dragons flying around the castle. The army behind her all look just as shocked.

“This fight won’t be easy. We could all die,” Korbin warns from my side.

“I know, dragon, but we won’t let Dragca fall. Just like I assume you won’t let Earth fall either if we ever need you. We are all linked by fate, and I know I am meant to be here. I know I am fated to fight by queen Isola’s side.”

"This is a dragon war, I don't want you hurt in it," I admit to her.

"I can handle myself, much like we all can. I would not come if I wasn't sure you would need us. After Melody explained.
